After a hiatus in 2020, the annual Mill Creek Festival will take place in the same location as in years past, with slight variations in festival hours. Mill Creek Blvd between 164th St SE and 159th Pl SE from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, with beer garden hours extending to 9 p.m., and Sunday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., beer garden hours to 7 p.m.
The Mill Creek Chamber of Commerce started the Festival over a decade ago, providing fun for the whole family and raising money to support their scholarship fund, which provides college scholarships for local students. The Festival includes three stages with live entertainment, local art booths, a children's plaza with rides, a beer and wine garden, commercial booths, and a pet plaza.
On Saturday, live music on the Main Stage will be hosted by KXA Radio host Stitch Mitchell, featuring Whiskey River, Nite Wave, Angry Young Men, The Davanos, and The Machine. On Sunday, emcee Mike Colvin hosts No Rules, Dana Osborn, 80's Daze, and Paperback Writer. For the entire Main Stage lineup, visit www.millcreekfestival.com/main-stage.
Mill Creek Blvd will close just north of 164th Street SE to 161st Street SE near Rite Aid beginning Friday, August 13, at approximately 9 a.m. to accommodate festival setup. The total street closure between 159th Place SE and just north of 164th Street and Mill Creek Boulevard will begin on Saturday at 4:30 a.m.
Free shuttle service is available between Jackson High School and the Festival on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Masks are required onboard the shuttle in compliance with the federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandate.
In a directive published August 10, 2021, by the Snohomish Health District, the fifth wave of increasing COVID-19 transmission is underway. Therefore, the City highly encourages masking and social distancing while attending the Festival.
